About MAAP – Asia Pacific Maritime Academy
MAAP fully known as Asia Pacific Maritime Academy is a non-profit, non-profit maritime institution owned and managed by the Philippine Naval Officers and the Mariners Union. At Kamaya Point, Alas-Asin, Mariveles, Bataan, Asia Pacific Maritime Academy offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering.

Eligibility for MAAP
Admission Requirements for MAAP
To become an aspiring member of the Academy, a candidate must meet or fulfill the following standards: Applicants must pass/meet standards covering four stages:
MAAP Entrance examination inclusive of the IQ/ aptitude/ emotional/ intelligence/ personality/ psychological/ neuro-psychiatric tests
Personal interview to be conducted by the BOA members
MAAP Medical criteria inclusive of physical, drug, lungs, dental, laboratory, audio test, and color blindness test (ISHIHARA test), visual acuity for far vision should be at least 20/30.
Orientation training for two months (April-May) inclusive of refresher classes in Math and English coupled with semi-regimental training
MAAP Qualification Requirements
- Male or female, Single
- Natural Born Filipino
- Physically fit
- Morally upright and has no derogatory record
- Born from 01-January-1996 to 31-December-2001
- Eligible applicants must be any one of the following
- High School Graduates(old basic education curriculum)
- College Level
- Senior High School Graduate/Graduating Student
- ALS Passer
- Minimum height of 5 ft. 4 in. (162.5 cm) for MALE and 5 ft. 2 in. (157.5 cm) for FEMALE applicants
- Has a GPA of at least 83%
- Has never been officially admitted to MAAP
NOTE: Strictly comply with qualification requirements. Inaccurate records may disqualify an applicant.
MAAP Application Requirements
- 2 copies of recent 2 x 2 colored pictures
- Payment of non-refundable processing fee of P 300.00 in cash
- Photocopy of birth certificate
- Photocopy of old BEC High School or Senior High School Diploma, if Senior High School/ High School (old BEC) graduate
- Photocopy of School Registration Form, if College Level
- Photocopy of certification from your principal that you are a graduating from Senior High School if Senior High School graduating student
- Photocopy of ALS Certificate of Rating, if ALS Passer
- Photocopy of valid School ID
- Photocopy of the latest School Report Card with at least has an of GPA of 83%
- The non-submission of these documents may constitute a ground for exclusion.
MAAP Application Procedures
- Get MAAP scholarship application forms from any of the testing/filing centers, Naval ROTC units, or PCG stations nationwide.
- Submit the duly accomplished application form with the requirements to designated filing centers either by mail or in-person
- Receive admission slip either by mail or in-person
NOTE: Registration for the entrance exam begins at 6:30 am and ends at 9:30 am

NOTE: Succeeding dates of examination will only be OPEN once the initial schedule has been filled. Kindly visit the MAAP website from time to time for the additional list of testing centers once approved by the LGUs and/or School’s Officials.
Important Announcement: Attention to all applicants who will take the MAAP Entrance Examination on January 7, 13, 14, 20, and 28 2022 at MAAP, Mariveles, Bataan. Please take note of the following requirements to be presented at Dinalupihan and Batangas Dos check-points:
- For those applicants who are residents of BATAAN province:
- ID with an address indicating that you are a resident of Bataan Province
- Vaccination Card
- For those applicants who are coming outside BATAAN:
- Negative Antigen Test Result (within 48 hrs)
