IUFRO Forest Scientific Visit Grants: Applications from eligible students are currently being accepted for the IUFRO Forest Scientific Visit Grants. It is a fully paid fellowship offered by the International Union of Forest Research Organization to all students (IUFRO).
About the Grant
The International Union of Forest Research Organization is conscious of the importance of connecting the young forest science community to address challenges facing forests and forestry.
Broadly, we strive to provide these future leaders with international experience to better equip them to address future global challenges and identify, create and fully utilize emerging opportunities.

The award worths EUR 5 000.
Requirements for IUFRO Forest Scientific Visit Grants
Target Group: Female early career scientists affiliated with IUFRO organizations.
Early Career Scientists: Scientists who have completed their MSc or higher degree in forestry or related fields, are 35 years old or younger, and who are locally affiliated with an institution of research and higher learning in their respective home country.
Aim: To support their scientific visit to a forest research organization overseas.
Required Application Documents
1. Completed Short Scientific Grant Application form.
2. Work plan outlining the details of the scientific visit, approved by host organization (template).

3. Endorsement letter by applicant’s host organization (template).
4. Endorsement by the applicant’s Head of Department.
5. Curriculum vitae of applicant.
6. Curriculum vitae of mentor.
7. A short (only 3 minutes) video explaining the proposed project and expected outcome. The size of the video should be as small as possible.
